The Vista Hermosa Natural Park Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority is a joint powers authority created in 2006 to manage the Vista Hermosa Natural Park, located in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The Authority is responsible for the management of the park, which includes providing recreational and educational opportunities to the public, protecting the park’s natural resources, and preserving the park’s cultural and historic resources. The Authority is composed of the City of Los Angeles, the County of Los Angeles, and the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority. The Authority works in partnership with the local community to ensure that the park is a safe and enjoyable place for all visitors.

The Vista Hermosa Natural Park is an urban public park located in Echo Park, Los Angelesimmediately west of Civic Center, Los Angeles. Vista Hermosa Natural Park is located in an old oil field of 10.5 acres (4.2 ha), bounded by Toluca Street and West 1st Street, Los Angeles. The park includes walking trails, streams, meadows, oak savannah, picnic areas, a nature-themed playground, and a soccer field.

The $15 million park opened on July 19, 2008 and was the first to open in downtown Los Angeles in over 100 years. The park is managed in partnership between the Los Angeles Unified School DistrictThe city ​​of los angelesand the Mountain Conservation and Recreation Authority (MRCA).
