Haim Eshed alternatively romanized As Chaim Eshed (Hebrew: חיים אשד; born 1933) is a visiting professor in aeronautics and astronautics in many space technology research institutions. A retired brigadier general in israeli military intelligenceEshed was Director of Space Programs for Israeli Ministry of Defense for nearly 30 years, is a former chair of the Space Committee of the National Research and Development Council for the Ministry of Science, Technology and Space and member of the management committee of Israel Space Agency. Eshed is responsible for launching 20 Israeli satellites and is widely cited as the father of Israel’s space program.

Eshed has a BA in Electronic Engineering from Technion, master’s and doctorate in Aeronautic engineering.

In 1979, as a colonel in the Israeli Army Directorate of Military IntelligenceEshed proposed establishing an independent satellite capability to gather intelligence from the signal after the withdrawal of Egyptian forces.

He was space director during the launch of the spy satellite in 2007 Ofek-7which he said would help with “the Iranian issue”.

When he retired in 2011, he was described in Israeli media as the father of Israel’s space capabilities program.

In December 2020, Eshed stated in an interview with the Israeli national newspaper Yediot Aharonot that the united states government had been in contact with extraterrestrial life for years and signed secret agreements with a “Galactic Federation” to do experiments on Earth, and that there is a joint underground base on Mars where they collaborate with American astronauts. He also stated that the President of the United States donald trump knew about it and was “about” to inform everyone of its existence, but was prevented by the “Galactic Federation”, who wanted to prevent mass hysteria.

The interview, in Hebrewgained traction after parts were published in English by The Post of Jerusalem. UFO investigator Nick Pope said NBC News that the ufology community wanted to know if Eshed’s account is primary or secondary training:

“Either this is some sort of prank or publicity stunt to help sell your book, maybe with something that got lost in translation, or someone you know is breaking ranks.”

He added that for decades Eshed has envisioned unconventional interpretations of incoherent spatial signals that most consider to be of natural origin. In response to questions from NBC News, a NASA spokesperson reaffirmed that “we have not yet found signs of extraterrestrial life”.
