Benefits To Employees
The Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP) administers four major disability compensation programs which provide wage replacement benefits, medical treatment, vocational rehabilitation and other benefits to certain workers or their dependents who experience work-related injury or occupational disease. These four programs are the Federal Employees’ Compensation Program (FECP), the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Program (LHWCP), the Federal Black Lung Program (BLP), and the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program (EEOICP). The OWCP also administers the Non-appropriated Fund Instrumentalities Employees’ Compensation Program (NAFIECP), which provides coverage to the employees of certain non-appropriated fund instrumentalities of the federal government.
