Mexico actions international borders with three nations:
- To the north the United States–Mexico borderwhich stretches a length of 3,141 kilometers (1,952 miles) across the states of baja california, sound, chihuahua, coahuila, New Leon and Tamaulipas.
- To the southeast, the Belize-Mexico Border251 kilometers (156 miles) in length, bordering the states of Quintana Roo and campeche and almost exclusively following the course of the rio hondo.
- Also to the southeast, the Guatemala-Mexico Borderwhich measures 871 kilometers (541 miles) and touches the states of campeche, tabasco and Chiapasand includes excerpts from Usumacinta River, Rio Salinas and Suchiate river.
