1 ½ pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 1/2-inch-thick slices

6 soup spoons butter, cut into pieces

1 glass milk

Salt and pepper to taste

1 soup spoon vegetable oil

1 lb ground turkey
-
1 medium chopped onion

two (1 ounce) packets instant chicken gravy mix

1 glass Water

1 (16 ounces) pack frozen peas and carrots, thawed

two cups grated cheese of choice

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a medium baking dish.

Cover the potatoes with water in a pot and boil for 20 to 30 minutes, or until tender. Drain and beat until smooth with an electric mixer. Add butter, milk, and salt and pepper to taste; beat until desired consistency.

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook and stir the turkey and onion until the turkey is fully cooked. Add sauce mixture and water; stir constantly, until the sauce is thick and bubbly. Season with salt and pepper.

Add turkey mixture to roasting pan. Then lay the peas and carrots in layers and cover with mashed potatoes. Cover with a layer of grated cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and potatoes are golden brown on top.
